Hi, I’m Douglas Schaller, an industrial designer focused on bringing ideas to life—from early concept through to final production. Over the years, I’ve worked with a range of companies, from startups to established names like Promega, Axion Bio, ABB Wireless, and Latticework (Amber). I help teams shape their product vision, design meaningful user experiences, and make sure things are ready for manufacturing. Along the way, I often collaborate on business and brand strategy, too.

I earned my B.S. in Industrial Design from San Jose State University in 2009. While in school, I interned with Lathrop Engineering (now Paramit/Tecan) and Legrand Design Group in France. After graduating, I joined Accel Biotech (now Ximedica), where I helped grow a small team into a successful biotech and medical device design firm.

Since launching my own practice in 2013, I’ve worked across a wide range of industries—including smart home tech, consumer electronics, biotech, and cycling.

I also co-founded the IDSA Silicon Valley Chapter and spend my weekends racing bikes whenever I can.
